Your service voucher is valid for four (4) months from the date of issue. It is advisable to seek treatment as soon as possible after the service voucher has been granted.

You can check the service vouchers granted to you by logging in to the palse.fi service.

The copayment for treatment covered by a service voucher is paid at the reception desk immediately after the visit.

Service voucher for comprehensive care (KOK)

The comprehensive care service voucher covers the treatment plan that the dentist who issued the voucher has deemed appropriate based on their examination. The content of this treatment plan corresponds to the comprehensive care provided by the city. The service voucher lists the planned procedures, and you can check the Palse.fi portal to see how much the copayments for these procedures are. You are responsible for paying these copayments.More detailed instructions.

Examination and treatment service voucher (TUTHO)

The examination and treatment service voucher covers a treatment package that must be implemented at the same service provider company, i.e. the service provider cannot be changed in the middle of treatment.

This package includes an examination, an X-ray (if deemed necessary by the treating dentist), a treatment plan, and, if necessary, treatment for two teeth (filling, root canal, extraction) and/or two procedures to treat the supporting tissues of the teeth (e.g., tartar removal).More detailed instructions.

NOTE: Treatment with a TUTHO voucher should always start with a dental check-up. For example, do not book a dental scaling without first visiting your dentist.

VAIVA Service Voucher

With the VAIVA service voucher (which replaces the Fracture Voucher, LOHK), a semi-urgent treatment course for a client’s specific condition can be completed without the need for separate appointments, and any follow-up visits to treat the same condition will be provided by the same service provider during the voucher’s validity period. An individual condition may include, for example, an asymptomatic or symptomatic chipped tooth, recurring wisdom tooth pain, gingivitis, soft tissue issues, or temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. The treatment costs you the same amount as it would in the City of Helsinki’s oral health care system.

If your treatment plan includes dentures, a bite splint, or any other procedure that requires the use of an external laboratory, you will be responsible for paying the full cost of the associated laboratory fees, just as you would under the City of Helsinki’s oral health care system.

If the treatment plan changes as treatment progresses (e.g., a tooth requiring a filling ends up needing a larger filling or root canal treatment), the final cost of treatment may also change. The treating dentist will discuss any changes to the treatment plan with you and explain how they will affect the cost of treatment. More detailed instructions.

First aid follow-up care service voucher (EA)

The service voucher for follow-up care after emergency treatment covers the treatment plan designed by the dentist who provided the emergency care. The service voucher lists the planned procedures, and you can check the copayment amounts for these procedures on the Palse.fi portal. You are responsible for paying these copayments.Detailed instructions.

KOHO Service Voucher

Only dentist Olga Vabistsevits provides treatment using the KOHO service voucher at our clinics in Kalasatama and Tikkurila.

With a KOHO service voucher, the patient copayment is the same as what you would pay under the City of Helsinki’s dental care system.

If your treatment plan includes dentures, a bite splint, or any other procedure that requires the use of an external laboratory, you will be responsible for paying the full cost of the associated laboratory fees, just as you would under the City of Helsinki’s oral health care system.

After conducting an examination, the dentist will provide you with a cost estimate before beginning treatment, which will also include an estimate of any laboratory costs. If the treatment plan changes as treatment progresses (e.g., a tooth requiring a filling actually needs a larger filling or root canal treatment), the final cost of treatment may also change. The dentist will discuss any changes to the treatment plan with you and explain how they affect the cost of treatment.

The copayment for the KOHO service voucher must also be paid at the reception desk immediately after the visit.

Detailed instructions.
