Why treat bite problems at an early age?
In early-stage treatment, milder orthodontic methods, such as the LM-Activator bite trainer, can be used. This treatment can prevent a malocclusion from developing into a more serious condition later on, which would require more complex and expensive treatment.
For example, straightening protruding front teeth reduces the risk of dental damage in the event of an accident. A malocclusion can also increase the risk of tooth decay. Correcting a visible malocclusion, in turn, can boost self-confidence.
Orthodontic treatment using LM-Activator appliances is affordable. A typical LM-Activator treatment costs a total of starting from only 2500 € – including 2 years of examinations and procedures.* Treatment progress is monitored during brief follow-up visits approximately every 2–3 months.
For children of what age is LM-Activator™ treatment suitable?
LM-Activator treatment is particularly suitable for children whose baby teeth are beginning to be replaced by permanent teeth. This typically occurs between the ages of 6 and 12. Your dentist will determine whether LM-Activator treatment is right for your child.
How does LM-Activator therapy work?

These appliances can be used to guide one or more teeth into their proper position or alignment. The flexible silicone gently applies force to the teeth, gradually moving them into their correct positions. The safe LM-Activator orthodontic appliance is designed so that no force is applied to teeth that are already in place and straight. This way, the aligner can help the entire jaw and face develop and grow in a healthy way.
How do you use the LM-Activator bite guard?
The LM-Activator bite guard is generally worn while sleeping, so it won’t interfere with your child’s daily routine. In some cases, it may be necessary to wear the device for a few hours during the day as well.
For the treatment to be successful, it is important to use the LM-Activator appliance regularly and according to your dentist’s instructions. It is therefore important to make using the appliance a habit right from the start.
The removable LM-Activator appliance offers many benefits. Unlike traditional braces, for example, the LM-Activator appliance can be removed during the day, making it particularly easy to keep clean. Your child can continue to eat all foods and brush their teeth as usual. They can also freely participate in various physical activities and sports. Check-ups at the dentist are typically only about 4 times a year.
